Welcome to the Wiki
What lives here
This is the reference section — the walkthroughs, the "here's exactly how I set this up" guides, the stuff I wish existed when I was staring at a half-finished config wondering why nothing was routing correctly. If it's a how-to, it's here.
Right now that mostly means self-hosting: Docker networking, reverse proxying, the kind of infrastructure work that eats a Saturday afternoon and then quietly keeps running for two years without you thinking about it again. Expect more of that — app packaging, scripting, whatever else I end up documenting so my future self doesn't have to re-learn it from scratch six months from now.
How this is different from Posts
Posts are where the opinions live — reflections, "here's what I think about X," the more personal side of working in tech. The wiki doesn't really have opinions. It has steps. If a post is me thinking out loud, a wiki article is me handing you the notes I took while actually doing the thing.
Why I bother writing this stuff down
Mostly selfishly, if I'm honest. I forget my own setups. I'll solve a networking problem, move on with my life, and then six months later hit the exact same wall with zero memory of how I got past it the first time. Writing it down here means I'm not starting from zero — and if it happens to save you a Saturday too, even better.
Where to start
The wiki is organized by category in the sidebar — right now that's Getting Started and Networking, with more categories showing up as I document more of what's actually running behind the scenes here. If you're new, the Networking section has the Docker custom-networks writeup, which is a decent starting point if you're trying to understand how any of the rest of this holds together.
That's it. No grand mission statement beyond "document the thing so I don't have to figure it out twice." Dig in.
